Abstract :
In 1980s and 1990s there has been a significant shift in how powertrain testing is performed. As engine and powertrain testing requirements continue to increase in complexity, testing systems must evolve to support these new requirements. The existing technology of independent measurement systems designed for unique tasks has substantial limitations when applied to complex testing environments. DSP Technology Inc. has developed a new concept of an integrated system that combines capabilities that were previously only available in separate systems. The first application of this concept is the integration of the test cell data acquisition and control system and the combustion analysis system
