Abstract
Simulating real world environments in sufficient detail and accuracy to rigorously test electronic controllers is a difficult and time consuming process. `Mission testing´ involves capturing real-world test data from a test track using data acquisition products, and replaying it in a simulated environment. This enables the behavior and functionality of the controller to be rigorously tested back in the laboratory during development. This presentation describes the tools and techniques used by Pi Technology during electronic controller development projects and presents the benefits of incorporating mission testing methods into the test and validation process
