Abstract
We present an analytical framework for identifying the most likely number of frequency-hopping transmitters in the presence of potential misdetection. The problem is formulated for the case where there is a single, global misdetection probability characterizing all transmitter/sensor links, and for the case where the misdetection probabilities are permitted to be different across the different pairwise transmitter/sensor links. Simulation results confirm that the approach can lead with high probability to a correct decision regarding the number of interferers.
