Abstract :
An analytical solution for the electrohydrodynamic induction pumping of a stratified liquid/vapor medium is presented. A group of nondimensional parameters is being introduced. Four sets of boundary conditions representing four different cases are considered. Results for the interfacial velocity are provided in nondimensional form. Nondimensional electric wave angular velocity, liquid height, and conductivity as well as dielectric constant are varied over a wide range and the influences of the various parameters on the interfacial velocity are presented and analyzed
