Abstract :
In the past two decades, the current-measurement community structure has altered significantly, especially at the middle and high end of the Euler-number spectrum. From the low end has come new flow measurement techniques, producing fundamental changes in the manner and scale in which the ocean is viewed. The conventional techniques, in contrast, seem mired in the swamp of difficult, tedious and often inconclusive performance evaluations.
