  • Abstract
In this work the authors used Factor Analysis of Dynamic Structure (FADS) for the extraction of TACs from a sequence of dynamic images. The dynamic images represented the uptake of a teboroxime-Tc-99m in the heart. The maximum entropy principle was used in order to make the results of the FADS method unique. The authors found that by using the entropy they determined the time activity curves more accurately than when using FADS with only non-negativity constraints. The method was tested and conclusions were drawn based on the results from computer simulations and from the experimental canine teboroxime-Tc-99m study
