Overlapping channel assignment technique for cellular network

Attempts at providing an integration between an indoor wireless service and mobile radio networks are discussed. A new channel assignment technique is proposed to overcome problems which result from applying the small-cell structure. The frequency reuse pattern resulting from the new assignment is described. Numerical results from the proposed analysis are presented, and compared with the results of three other techniques, illustrating the better utilization and the higher efficiency of the new technique
