Abstract
The rapidly development of the network scale, complexity and heterogeneity in telecommunication network significantly increased the difficulty for the work of network management. This paper proposed a new kind of architecture for constructing Web based and distributed telecommunication network management system. The architecture is constructed by a group of servers, such as the back end server, the front end server, management server, and NMS API services. The network management system is based on the J2EE and EJB technologies that allow all the parts of the network management system to be located on separate computers located in different location. The whole network management system is partitioned into small pieces. A prototype of the practical telecommunication network management system has been implemented according the architecture. The experiments show that the architecture can be used to construct web based NMS to manage to manage large-scale network system.
