Abstract :
This paper describes a detailed sensitive analysis of the effect of the geometrical parameters on the motor´s torque ripple, its dispersion and the average torque for the surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (SMPM). Both the noise factors and control factors are then analyzed. The multi-level orthogonal table arranges the 2D FE based control factors sensitive analysis experiments. All the results are collected to make the statistical analysis including the calculation of signal-to-noise ratio (SN) and mean value. The noise factors´ groups are also made to control the manufacture tolerance. The results show how the motor´s key features are influenced by the noise factors and key geometrical parameters. The conclusion of this paper may prove to be a useful tool to choose the optimization variables.
