Abstract
In this paper we present a 2.4 GHz MMIC front-end which is designed to achieve a low cost transceiver for ISM communication. The transceiver integrates a receiver LNA, a transmitter amplifier, RX/TX switches and control logic on a single chip. The transceiver occupies only 0.7 mm/sup 2/ and is packaged in a plastic MSOP8G. The MMIC requires a single 3 V supply and it is intended for use in half duplex systems. A single positive control line toggles transceiver state and powers down the inactive mode.
