Abstract :
The paper presents the experimental activity carried out to test the immunity characteristics to conducted disturbances of a digital acquisition system made of a desktop computer equipped with a PCI DAQ board. Like any other numerical measurement system, many devices and components are involved in the process of acquiring the analog signal, sampling, quantizing and presenting the result to the user, and therefore many are the possible coupling paths between the measurement system and the disturbing signal. The aim of the presented study is to investigate which components most influence immunity characteristics, and which path, i.e., whether conducted or radiated one, prevails in the coupling of disturbances with the equipment under test.
