Abstract :
A multiwindow system has drawbacks in window operability, especially in the case of a multimedia teleconference in which too many windows are simultaneously displayed. To obviate this problem, a window auto-management scheme is proposed to free users from tedious window manipulation. Empirical rules governing how and when to resize, iconify/deiconify and overlap partially obscured text-based and facial image windows are presented based upon experiments and observations
