            Abstract :
A technique for the online computation of a commutation pattern allowing harmonic loss minimisation in a class of DC/AC and AC/DC PWM power converters is presented. The proposed technique is independent of the constants of the circuit and allows to obtain a given power in the load with minimum loss of energy. Simulation confirms the practical feasibility of the method
