Abstract :
There are many sorts of fieldbus coexisting in the industry but they cannot communicate with each other because of different protocols used in these fieldbuses. In a factory normally there are different kinds of fieldbuses utilised in systems, in which information communication each other is often needed. Therefore, scheme of different kind of fieldbus system integration that can realize data communication between different protocol fieldbus should be investigated. In this paper, integration techniques involving equipment level and system level are introduced respectively, in which the integration of FCS based on gateway, FCS based on NetDDE, FCS based on OPC and FCS based on industrial Ethernet proxy, four approaches to fieldbus system integration are proposed, and the advantages and disadvantages of these schemes are discussed and analysed respectively.
