  • Abstract
The forecast to the demand of the highway transportation is extremely important theoretically and practically since the road is the national infrastructure. The traditional methods of prediction have been analyzed, and their shortcomings in the road forecast have been pointed out. Then it is suggested that the grey prediction takes advantages on the transportation forecast. The article unifies the moving average to the grey prediction, in order to raising is accuracy concerned about changing of the initial condition. At last, it has been shown that the method improved is better through predicting the demand of 2,005 -2010 highway transportation.
