The Application Research on Knowledge Management of Project Manager

Project manager, as an overall, omni competent, and whole process principal, plays a key role in fulfilling project goals. How to execute knowledge management, systematically accumulate, generate and refine the experiences of every project manager in order to promote the diffusion and sharing of invisible knowledge is very important. This paper summarizes nine responsibilities of a project manager, including integrated management, scope management, time management, quality control, human resources management, information management, risk management, and purchasing management. We figure out performance objectives of every responsibility, and visualize the invisible knowledge into required knowledge and skills through process of project manager´ s self-description and team discussion. We can then find the sharing knowledge point, draw the knowledge map with gradually accumulation, durative conclusion and promotion to achieve the win-win situation between individual project manager and enterprise training.
