Abstract :
In this paper the linearized Phillips-Heffron model of power system installed with thyristor controlled interphase power controller (TC-IPC) has been established. Based on this model it is demonstrated that the TC-IPC can be very effective to damp power system oscillations. Simulation results indicate the robustness of this flexible AC transmission system (FACTS) controller to the variation of system operating conditions too.
