Abstract :
The subject of this paper is a comparison between a fuzzy-controller concept and a conventional digital cascaded controller for a high dynamic synchronous servodrive. The servodrive is a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a three phase stator winding. The control concepts are described with the aid of block diagrams. This is followed by a presentation of the two controllers, whose designs are based on different operation principles, and they are compared. Results of the cascaded state control and fuzzy control investigations of the servodrive are shown
