Abstract
The grounding system design for GIS indoor substation is proposed in this paper. The design concept of equipotential ground grids in substation building as well as connection of GIS enclosures to main ground grid is described. The main ground grid design is performed according to IEEE Std. 80-2000. The real case study of grounding system design for 120 MVA, 69-24 kV distribution substation in MEA´s power system is demonstrated.
