Abstract :
Maximum continuous discharge current is one key parameter for Lithium ion battery pack design in mobile computing system. This paper proposes a RMS(Root Mean Square) equivalent current method to evaluate this parameter and address relationship between maximum continuous discharge power and this parameter. The experiment has been conducted to verify effectiveness of this method to assist battery pack design at early stage and help to judge whether mobile system need performance de-rating for given battery design.
