Abstract :
Degradation processes of organic matter in seabed sediment is complicated because that not only chemical reaction but also physical and biological processes have effects to material circulation around seabed. It is difficult to grasp adequately the material circulation but we should clarify it. The purpose of this paper is to elucidate the material circulation in seabed sediment. Detail data of degradation processes is obtained by experiment. Experimental aquarium enables to sample overbottom and pore water intermittently with keeping it air proof is created. And this paper presents the means for improvement of numerical model developed using experiment data. There are differences between simulation and experimental data in the middle layer. The results of this study enable us to represent in-situ environment more correctly and to predict occurrence of marine environmental problems.
