Abstract :
The implementation and sophistication of computers in various systems used in today´s occupational spectrum has made it necessary to prepare individuals with the knowledge and skills required to adapt new science to new products. The integration of different engineering technologies is increasing in the modern industrial environment. The need to serve today´s industrial environment makes it necessary for inter-disciplinary understanding among all engineering technologists. The depth and details of the fundamentals of the Computer Engineering Technology (CET) curriculum is different from other Engineering Technology curriculums. CET programs provide a bridge between engineering advancement and practical applications of computers. The challenge in developing an integrated CET curriculum is how to make changes to the CET curriculum without changing the basic nature of the CET experience. A CET curriculum focusing on multidisciplinary aspects will benefit students pursuing a career in computer engineering technology.
