Abstract :
A control strategy based on pulse density modulation (PDM) is established for an AC/AC converter, consisting of a three-phase diode rectifier without smoothing filter and a series resonant inverter, to control the load power and optimize the power factor of the current drawn from the AC-supply. Two control laws are elaborated. The first considers the optimization of the power-factor but requires very heavy calculations. The second optimizes the displacement factor but requires less calculations
