Abstract :
In this paper, we try to use Sheppard-Taylor (S-T) topology to realize one high efficiency and high power factor AC/DC converter with the output of low voltage and high current. The problems between synchronous rectifier (SR) and power factor correction (PFC) are discussed in detail. The experiment model and circuit parameters are reliable and derived by particular calculations. The simulation shows the designed circuit is feasible and correct. One prototype is accomplished, which the rated input is 110 V AC source and the rated output is 1.5 V/30 A DC load.
