Abstract

During 1996-98 a special Program in Mathematics oriented to engineering students was developed at UTFSM. Description and final results of this Program were reported on FIE 98-99. As a practical application of this Program we have organized a special computer lab with 12 personal computers oriented to mathematical teaching, as an important complementary didactic component in maths courses given in a lecture format. We think that this lab size could foster interactivity and facilitate a more personalized work with the students. We have adapted a special software related to subjects of calculus and based on MATHEMATICA.
