A method of ascertaining regional productivity layout pattern

On the basis of the intensity of interurban economic relation figured out by Gravity Model, interurban economic relation is ranked into three sorts "strongest, stronger, weak". Productivity layout network is constructed, with nodes denoting the regional cities and a ledge mapped if intensity of interurban economic relation is "strongest". According to the indexes built by authors, which reflect structural characteristic of productivity layout network, regional productivity layout pattern is divided into "spot pattern, spot-axis pattern, network pattern", thus, a more normative method to ascertain regional productivity layout pattern is established. Using this method, we have ascertained and analyzed productivity layout pattern of South Jiangsu.
