Abstract :
This paper describes a risk management strategy for Internet-based survey research that was recently used in a remote Internet-based study that assessed the effect of web design variables on web users. The strategy was drawn from a combination of best practices and survey design principles used by established scholars in the growing area of Internet-based research. The purpose of this paper is to suggest a risk-mitigation framework for other Internet researchers that can be adapted to their specific research goals and objectives.
