Abstract
The paper proposed an approach to quantitatively analysis the reliability of UPS (uninterruptible power supply) system. Firstly, the reliability indices appropriate to UPS system were defined. Then, based on analysis of UPS system operation, the system fault tree and accurate multistages math models of modules were set up. The sequential Monte Carlo simulation method was used to calculate the system reliability indices and sensitivity of every module. Finally, a typical UPS system was given to demonstrate the proposed approach. The proposed means is useful in reliability evaluation and decision-making among different UPS system solutions.
