Abstract :
Ad hoc networks are mobile nodes, where each node communicates over wireless channels, moves freely and may join and leave the network at any time. This feature may cause problems for higher layers when it unexpectedly exits lower layer in the protocol stack. In this paper, we determine from two algorithms. Firstly, if data is lost at network layer, the sender detects new networks without doing the route discovery. Secondly, if data is dropped at transport layer, we discuss the various retransmission policies such as MFR, TS and MFR plus TS. Moreover, each packet characteristic suffers from ordered or non-ordered processes in SCTP protocol. Multihoming is one option of SCTP protocol that provide the several paths. The obtained results show our algorithm with MFR policy can analysis the drop packets between network layer and transport layer. Furthermore, MFR increases the goodput performance in both ordered and non-ordered messages.
