Abstract
The problem of the adjustment of the sounding instrument and sounded medium a priori models is posed for the satellite passive microwave remote sensing, The linear problem of the total model adjustment is formulated on the base of the external calibration technique developed earlier. The applications of the adaptive approach to the optimum calibration of the microwave remote sensed data and to the radiative transfer models adjustment are described.
