Abstract :
An algorithm for processing data collected by an array of sensors in a noisy background is presented. It is assumed that the data consists of a superposition of a desired signal and several undesired coherent interferences whose angles of arrival and relative amplitude gains are assumed to be known or can be accurately estimated. This algorithm proceeds by applying frequency-domain filters to the discrete Fourier transform of the sensor outputs, summing, and inverting back to the time domain. The filters are designed to completely suppress all the interferences while preserving the desired signal. An example which illustrates the effectiveness of the algorithm is presented using synthetic data
