Abstract :
Based on the Single-Chip wireless transceiver nRF905and 51 microcontrollers, a radio frequency-based monitor system of dairy cow is proposed. The system takes a manner of the distributed wireless communication, which has a PC machine as a host terminal, one MCU as master machine and several other MCUs as slave machines. Dairy cow¡äs body temperature and walking steps are acquired by means ofDS18B20 and mercury switch, and temperature and relative humidity of dairy cow barn are gathered by DHT11 sensor, then these data has been transmitted to master machine through nRF905 transceiver, which can communicate with PC terminal via serial EIA-232 port and the VC++ monitor GUI is showed on PC. Tests results show that this dairy cow monitor system achieves the characteristics of data collection within large range detection timely, simply and non-invasively.
