Abstract :
This paper examines how students in an undergraduate game-studies course used Prezi to develop both high concept and design documentation for text adventure games. Rather than using text-heavy Word files, PowerPoint presentations, or flow charts, students used Prezi to answer specific planning questions for their projects. The paper´s larger claim is that game development stages can be used to teach technical communication students about the development cycle of software projects. The experience of conceptualizing, documenting, and developing games therefore offers a valuable pedagogical frame for technical communication instructors.
