Abstract :
Designing, developing, and maintaining a large-scale website can be a daunting task. When the website is in more than one natural language, important communication issues related to site content and structure become even more complex. This paper summarizes our experience with developing the website for the 24th IEEE International Conference on Software Maintenance that took place in Beijing, China. The website is multilingual with content in both English and Chinese. The paper also discusses some of the lessons learned from our work on the project from a volunteer organization´s perspective.
