Abstract :
TestYourVoIP is a system for measuring the quality of calls placed over the Internet. In this paper we describe the TestYourVoIP system, and present some previously unreported measurements taken by it. In general, TestYourVoIP has found that too many test calls have unacceptable call quality. Further, it has shown that the tested voice quality has gotten worse over time. In the results reported here, we find that voice quality is often asymmetric, varies by time of day, and varies by called verifier location.
