Abstract :
ESTAR is a research radiometer built to develop the technique of aperture synthesis for microwave remote sensing of soil moisture from space. In June, 1992, ESTAR participated in an experiment at the Little Washita River watershed (WASHITA-92). Results confirm that a valid image reconstruction algorithm and calibration procedure have been obtained at a level suitable for the measurement of soil moisture
