Abstract
MAS oxygen spectra are used to determine temperature-pressure profiles and pressure at tangent points. All known instrumental characteristics are included into the forward model. Tangent pressure is obtained using a latitude dependent brightness temperature table, with optimum results in the upper stratosphere. For the full temperature profile inversion, the optimal estimation method as proposed by Rodgers is used
