Abstract
Summary form only given. Building Information Models (BIM), and related developments in information and communication technologies are making headway in their adoption and, some would say, transformation of the construction industry. This presentation reviews these technologies from the perspective of technology adoption trends. It reviews the history that has brought us to the current technological capabilities, provides an overview of the current levels of adoption of these technologies, and presents a few observations about what the near future may hold in store for the adoption of BIM.
