Abstract
Some quality problems in American higher education are addressed. The author suggests that the concept of total quality control (TQC), a philosophy in manufacturing management, be applied to education in order to achieve changes from a more individualized control to a more systemized control. He discusses some particular methods for TQC in teaching. He suggests team work for course content TQC and course policy TQC
