  • Abstract
    A case is made for developing departmental policies for student literacy and usage of computers. It is noted that in today´s environment the appropriate way to fulfil desired comprehensive computer educational objectives spans a major portion of the curriculum in both engineering and technology. In addition, such policies avoid excessive task repetition in courses, while assuring the maintenance of overall program objectives. A summary of major computer-education objectives is provided. The impact on both faculty and facilities is considered
