Abstract
This paper focuses on the design and implementation of a low-power intelligent power supply to be used in a wireless network sensors solution intended for installation in structural monitoring systems or other power critical systems. The system consists of a power source (battery, fuel cell or similar), a microprocessor as the control unit, battery monitor, and integrated DC-DC converters. All the components communicate via an I2C bus. The power supply will comprise from off-the-shelf technology components that are low-cost and rich in functional features.
