Abstract :
Reverse engineering digitizes the products (physical model or prototype) and uses the CAD system to get CAD model of the product in accordance with the design and manufacture of specific binding, finally gives birth to the product or new products which are defined by the model. This paper introduces the principle of reverse engineering to design a three-dimensional measurement system based on the raster projection. The article also presents the metrical principles, hardware architecture and software of the system, and a result is provided at the end.
