Abstract
In this paper, we consider online manufacturing systems, i.e. systems which are influenced by exogeneous events like changing demands. The work presented hereafter is a part of a project the goal of which is to provide a unified approach for medium-term planning, short-term planning and scheduling of manufacturing systems. This hierarchical management system is designed using Petri nets and based on a decomposition of the whole system into modules. We restrict ourselves to the short-term planning and the scheduling of one of these modules during one elementary period
