Abstract
Decision support tools bring great advances to computer aided design and planning systems. However, this evolution reveals new aspects of the human-computer interaction and causes new problems too. The authors investigate the human-computer interactions at knowledge acquisition and planner interfaces of manufacturing process planning systems. The effect of knowledge-based problem solving procedures is taken into consideration. The adaptation of the concept of intent-supporting of the human-computer interface in the domain of process planning is studied
