Abstract :
It is pointed out that instructional television as exemplified by NTU (National Technological University) is moving toward a highly individualized, on-demand mode. This is a vision shared by NTU and several of its corporate subscribers, particularly IBM. It is noted that new technologies will permit the integration of education into one´s work in a virtually seamless fashion, and the overall approach to instruction will change dramatically. The transition will be incremental, and changes transforming the way technical professionals work and learn have already begun
