Abstract
Due to its communication and collaborationintensive nature, processes of requirements engineering (RE) become one of the key challenges in distributed software development. The reality of distributed projects is that cross-functional stakeholder groups are tasked with specifying and managing requirements across cultural, time-zone and organizational boundaries. This creates an unique set of problems not only when an organization opens development centres across the world, but also when software development is a multi-organizational business affair.
