Abstract
A crude oil degrading strain SY1 was isolated from the soil contaminated by crude oil. The strain SY1 could utilize crude oil as the sole carbon source. The strain was identified as a member in Zoogloea species (Zoogloea sp. Strain SY1). After the domestication of SY1, the biodegradation rate of crude oilcan reach 41.3% under the condition of without the addition of inorganic nutrients. Based on the experimental results, the optimal cultivation temperature, cultivation time, and the pH of the SY1 seed liquid were determined. The enzyme-catalyzed kinetic model was also established.
