Title :
Coordination by Correlation: Mission Planning and Control Based on Collaboration and Collision Maps
Author_Institution :

Abstract :
We present a Theory of Coordination by Correlation which has been developed by us for manufacturing planning and control, and extend its range of application towards mission systems. This is done by adding space resources to the common Gantt chart model. Coordination then means to balance the risk of collisions and the need for collaborations among the cooperating units by proper scheduling. For that purpose, the proposed correlation maps deliver quantitative data about the degree of interference and plan performance of the participating processes.
