Abstract
Summary form only given. We experimentally demonstrated a cross phase based, all-optical switching in a phase-shifted fiber Bragg grating. The strong enhancement of the nonlinear effect due to the group velocity reduction and the switching polarization dependence was observed and theoretically confirmed.
