Abstract
In urban areas around the world, the number of trips made by vehicles has significantly increased in recent decades and resulted in frequent traffic congestions. ITIS offer optimal travel routes to road users with regard to the actual traffic state in order to increase the efficiency of vehicles travelling, reduce travel time and traffic congestion, along with reduced pollution and energy consumption. A simple measure-forecasting mode of traffic information service isn´t enough to realize optimal traffic control. Researchers suggested many new strategies and methods for building urban ITIS in recent years. In this paper we have a investigation on those MAS-based traffic management strategies and methods, make a primary appreciation about their merits and disadvantages using AHP. Our work would be useful for construction of an urban ITIS.
